What is airpop®

airpop® made of 98% air

EPS or, as we like to call it, airpop® is a balloon of polystyrene comprising 98% air.

It is not harmful to health and is naturally occurring in foods  such as strawberries, peaches, cinnamon, beef and coffee. airpop® is food-safe, non-toxic and inert.

At no time in its life cycle does airpop® contain any chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) or hydro chlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs). It has no nutritional value, so no microorganisms can grow during storage and transportation.

airpop® can be recycled in many ways once it comes to the end of its life. These include recycling directly into new building products, extrusions, injection-moulding and waste-to-fuel programs run by many municipalities around the globe, due to its high calorific value.

airpop® is not harmful to the environment as it is inert, non-toxic and 100% recyclable.
